Looking for Sustainability ideas

I thought I find a way to keep costs down while still trying to stay eco-friendly. Trying to keep striving for sustainability. This a record of that journey.

Sometimes blunt and straight forward then sometimes sarcastic

SOPA and PIPA

Two bills before Congress, Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House.    Blacked out words???  Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA. Blacked out words??? Many believe that these acts will cause even more loss of business and make it even harder to do business online. Plus might not even shut down the piracy sites anyway.... You see this would be blacked out for a reason.  If they didn't like it...

Many sites where blacked out today. Sending people to sigh the petition to tell congress and the senate to vote no on PIPA and SOPA...  You see this would be blacked out for a reason.  If they didn't like it...

This is  Blacked out words???
OMG
OMg I just read that SOPA has crashed the senate site!

Snow day!!

Wow I got lucky with my schedule I have today off and this morning it was 40 degrees and raining... last night it was freezing rain... and now the temps are going down to the teens..... yea the snow and rain will become ICE.... Chicago is having the third biggest blizzard the city has ever seen... Closer to home Cleveland and Canton has many homes without electricity. Lodi outlet mall was closed last night early. The Zoo and many more places closed for the last two days.

What really concerns me is the fact I watched the ticker tape at the end of the screen on my TV thinking dang... look at all those places. Of course my inner child said OMG it must be really bad out that the Rootstown school system was closed.... LOL but then I saw the zoo and the mall.... OK now it is really hitting home......
But my heart sank when I see in most of the county's the mobile meals are canceled.. It's our areas Meals on Wheels

It kinda sad that the housebound that depend on those meals that are brought by volunteers might not have anything to eat for two days..... I understand that they don't want to endanger the volunteers.

Los Suns

So today is Cinco De Mayo! So yea most of Mexico doesn't celebrate this holiday but we Americans like too. the sales of pinatas, tequila and Mexican food go up.

But after Arizona's controversial new immigration law has many people protesting, the Phoenix Suns a NBA team will be wearing jerseys that will say Los Suns. "to honor [the] Latino community and the diversity of our league, the state of Arizona, and our nation." Yes.... While many think that a basketball team should stay out of politics, they went ahead and said what they believed in.... Robert Sarver asked the team and got unanimous support from his players.

AND they were not the only ones that would have different jerseys tonight. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich treid to get "Los Spurs" jerseys. But it was to late to order and have them by tonight!

I give them a shot out for the fact they are standing up and saying this is wrong. In a nonviolent way.... Kick Butt Los Suns!! (I don't follow basketball or sport for that fact) But do cheer the team for the effort on this controversial immigration law
